Great News! The 46th Annual Los Angeles City/County Conference on Gifted Education, scheduled for Saturday, May 30, 2020, will occur as an online event. In light of the unprecedented global pandemic, Gifted/Talented Programs, Advanced Learning Options, and the Greater Los Angeles Gifted Children’s Association (GLA-GCA) are moving the conference from a physical location at the Pasadena Convention Center to a high-quality, virtual conference. The stellar experts who will present at our virtual conference include: Dr. Scott Barry Kaufman, Matthew Emerzian, Dr. Mary Helen Immordino-Yang, Dr. Gary Stager, Dr. Marcia L. Tate, and Lisa Van Gemert.
All materials for the conference, including a copy of Dr. Scott Barry Kaufman’s book, Wired to Create: Unraveling the Mysteries of the Creative Mind, will be sent to participants through school mail when schools reopen. As the conference date gets closer, registrants will receive additional information on how to login to the conference, access an overview of the conference session, etc.
We are so pleased that we are able to offer our annual conference in an exciting, innovative, and thought-provoking novel format. Thank you for your flexibility and dedication to gifted/talented learners.
